Admission Requirements
This section covers the admission requirements for re-entry students. The biggest thing is whether you left the Universities of Wisconsin in good standing (your grades were in good shape) or poor standing (grades weren’t up to par).
Good Standing:
Likely to be readmitted without a hassle. Be sure to meet the application priority dates.
Poor Standing:
Start by talking with the admissions office to identify the specific procedure you’ll need to follow. It may involve an appeal to admissions director, academic dean, or a designee.
APPLYING FOR RE-ENTRY ADMISSION
It’s great that you’re ready to return to the Universities of Wisconsin. The following will help you successfully apply for re-entry admissions.
STEP 1: THE APPLICATION
The best and most convenient way to apply is through the Universities of Wisconsin Application.
Like to take your time? Download a paper version of the application at apply.wisconsin.edu.
STEP 2: TRANSCRIPTS
Since leaving your UW, if you did not attend another college/university and/or earn college credits from another college/university, transcripts are not required for re-entry admission.
If you have attended or have earned credits from any other college/university, official transcripts are required for re-entry admission. Contact your previous college/university to have your official transcripts sent to the admissions office of the UW school you are seeking admission to.
That’s it! There are no application fees or test scores to submit for re-entry students. Application priority dates and deadlines vary from campus to campus. Contact the one you’re interested in for important dates.
