Choosing a Meal Plan
Being well fueled is important as you attend classes, study, and make plans for the future. If you’re a freshman or sophomore living on campus at a UW System college, you’ll need to select a meal plan.
Meal plans vary from school to school. Some schools have structured plans that offer a specified number of meals for a certain price. Other schools give students an account they load with money for purchasing meals and snacks at campus dining halls. As you ponder your meal plan options, consider the following:
- Dining hall hours
- Times you’ll probably be off campus, such as winter and spring break
- How often you expect to dine out or order takeout
- How often you think you’ll cook your own meals
