Transfer Admission Requirements Spring 2020
Transfer Admission Guidelines
All applications receive a comprehensive review. Academic preparation is the primary criteria used in the admissions review process. Transfer students will be considered for admission if they have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 or higher in college transfer courses and are in good standing at the institution they are currently attending or have attended
Minimum GPA Requirements for Admission Consideration to Specific Major
Although students may be admitted to the university with a 2.0 cumulative GPA, higher grade point averages may be necessary for students who wish to enter the School of Education or the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science.
Requirements for some departments and majors may vary significantly from the minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA stated. All transfer students should consult with the department or program chair to clarify specific major/program requirements in the transfer.
Credit & Other Requirements for Admission
Applicants must have 12 or more transferable credits from an accredited institution to be considered for admission as a transfer student. Applicants with fewer than 12 credits must meet new freshmen admission requirements.

Special Note for UW System Transfer Applicants
The UW System undergraduate transfer policy states that priority for admission will be given to two-year branch campuses transfers and other UW System transfers from campuses where a major is not available, subject to the limits of a campus’s enrollment target. All UW System campuses have Guaranteed Transfer agreements with the two-year branch campuses. Students admitted under these agreements should follow the requirements of the agreement. The stipulations of these agreements are not included in this listing.
