Transfer Admission Requirements – Fall 2019
Minimum GPA and Other Guidelines for Admission Consideration
All applications receive a comprehensive review. Academic preparation is the primary criteria used in the admissions review process. Students with at least a 2.50 cumulative grade point average in all previous college-level course work will be stronger candidates for admission.
Students with a cumulative grade point average between 2.00 and 2.49 will be considered for admission if space is available.
Students from a UW College (freshman/sophomore campuses) who earn an associate degree or 60 credits with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 will be admitted.
Minimum GPA Requirements for Admission Consideration to Specific Majors
|2.75||Clinical Laboratory Science (One-semester minimum taken at UW–La Crosse prior to application.All program–required science/math courses must be a “C” or better.Only two-course repeats are allowed.)|
|2.50||Communication Studies(Students need a UWL cumulative GPA of 2.50 or15 UWLCST credits with a 2.70 UWLCST GPA and a UWL cumulative GPA of 2.30)|

|2.25||Public Health and Community Health Education (2.75 UWL cumulative GPA required to graduate)|

Credit and Other Requirements for Admission Consideration
Students who were not admissible as new freshmen must present at least 18 transferable semester credits to be considered for transfer admission.
Anticipated Application Deadlines/Priority Dates
Applications are accepted beginning September 15, 2018.
Will admit until full.
All admitted transfer students who have paid their deposit will register with continuing students beginning April 15, 2019.
Date determined based on the number of earned credits.
The enrollment deposit is $100.
Admission requirements and dates may be modified because of changing enrollment demands. (See above.)
Special Note for UW System Transfer Applicants
The UW System undergraduate transfer policy states that priority for admission will be given to two-year branch campuses transfers and other UW System transfers from campuses where a major is not available, subject to the limits of a campus’s enrollment target. All UW System campuses have Guaranteed Transfer agreements with the two-year branch campuses. Students admitted under these agreements should follow the requirements of the agreement. The stipulations of these agreements are not included in this listing.
