Transfer Admission Requirements Fall 2019
Transfer Admission Guidelines
All applications receive a comprehensive review. Admission decisions are based on GPA, the number of credits earned, rigor and breadth of curriculum, and other predictors of success. Generally, students with a cumulative transfer GPA of 2.5 or above have the highest likelihood of admission. Based on the comprehensive review, students with less competitive academic records may be placed on a waiting list.
Some admission preference will be given to students whose most recent college experience is at the UW Colleges and who have earned a UW Colleges Associate’s Degree.
Minimum GPA Requirements for Admission Consideration to Specific Majors
The following list shows majors and corresponding minimum GPA requirements that exceed the minimum for admission to the campus.
|2.75||Education (actual GPA needed for admission may be higher)|
|2.50||Nursing Completion Program|
Contact the admissions office for more detailed information about course sequence, GPA, and other admission requirements.
Credit and Other Requirements for Admission Consideration
Students with fewer than 15 transferable credits completed at the time of application must also submit freshman application materials (high school transcript, official ACT/SAT test scores), and will be evaluated on all available academic credentials.
Anticipated Application Deadlines/Priority Dates

Special Note for UW System Transfer Applicants
The UW System undergraduate transfer policy states that priority for admission will be given to two-year branch campuses transfers and other UW System transfers from campuses where a major is not available, subject to the limits of a campus’s enrollment target. All UW System campuses have Guaranteed Transfer agreements with the two-year branch campuses. Students admitted under these agreements should follow the requirements of the agreement. The stipulations of these agreements are not included in this listing.
