English as a Second Language Programs

Some University of Wisconsin System campuses offer English as a Second Language (ESL) Programs for non-native speakers of English. These programs focus on development of skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. These programs are generally designed for international students who need further English language training before full admission to a college or university.

A number of University of Wisconsin System campuses offer limited coursework in English as a Second Language while others offer full programs for non-native speakers of English.
