Board of Regent policy requires all UW System institutions to grant credit for scores of 3 and above on all College Board Advanced Placement examinations. Each UW System institutional policy for award of credit is summarized below.

High school students in Wisconsin can also take Advanced Placement courses through the Wisconsin Advanced Placement Distance Education Consortium. This voluntary association of Wisconsin School Districts is dedicated to providing a high and diverse selection of Advanced Placement Courses through a synchronous two-way video conference platform.
