What to Expect When Living on Campus
Living on campus is a popular option: it puts you in the middle of everything. You can get involved in social events, academic programs, recreational activities, student government, and more—all while making lifelong friendships.
UW campuses have different housing arrangements such as traditional hall living, apartments or suites, coeducational halls, women-only or men-only units, quiet housing, special-interest units, and learning communities. Check with your campus housing office to see which types they offer.
All on-campus residence halls have laundry and kitchen areas, vending machines, high-speed Internet access, cable or satellite TV, study areas, and lounges. Many also have exercise centers, piano rooms, computer labs, recreational equipment, and wireless access.
