International Baccalaureate Information - UW-River Falls

All University of Wisconsin System Campuses award college credit for scores of 4,5,6, or 7 on higher level (HL) IB examinations. Additional credit will be awarded to students who complete the full diploma programme. Most campuses do not award degree credit for IB Standard Level (SL) examination results. Check with the campus admission office for award of credit for SL examination results.

French B - HL 4,5 Student is awarded credit for FREN 101 or 102 or 201 or 202 (3 or 4 credits) and is placed into an appropriate level course by the Modern Languages Department based on the student's score on the Wisconsin Foreign Language Placement Test. If the student takes the recommended course and earns a grade of B or better, additional credit will be awarded retroactively, to a maximum of 14 credits. 3
French - HL 6,7
(And score above 600 on the Wisconsin Foreign Language Placement Test.)
French 301 (If student completes French 302 and earns a grade of "B" or better, 14 retroactive credits will be awarded for French 101, 102, 201 and 202.) 3
German B - HL 4,5 Student is awarded credit for GERM 101 or 102 or 201 or 202 (3 or 4 credits) and is placed into an appropriate level course by the Modern Languages Department based on the student's score on the Wisconsin Foreign Language Placement Test. If the student takes the recommended course and earns a grade of B or better, additional credit will be awarded retroactively, to a maximum of 14 credits. 3
German - HL 6,7

History of the Americas- HL 4,5,6,7 History 100 (If History major or minor, 3 credits for HIST 215 and student is allowd to take advanced U.S. history courses, numbered 300 or higher. If the student completes an advanced U.S. history course at UW-RF with a grade of B or better, an additonal 3 credits will be awarded retroactively for HIST 216.) 3
