Transferring from the Wisconsin Technical College System
The Liberal Arts programs at five Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) campuses (Madison Area Technical College, Milwaukee Area Technical College, Nicolet Area Technical College, Chippewa Valley Technical College, and Western Technical College) allow you to transfer up to 72 credits to a UW System baccalaureate-granting campus.
UW System campuses may accept in transfer up to 30 credits of general education course work (communications, behavioral sciences, social sciences, mathematics, and natural sciences) from WTCS Applied Associate degree programs. In some cases, UW System campuses may also accept occupational/technical courses from WTCS Applied Associate degree programs. In addition, under certain articulation agreements between WTCS campuses and UW System campuses, a related UW System bachelor's degree program may accept in transfer occupational and technical credits from certain WTCS Applied Associate degree programs.
It is a good idea to be aware of transfer agreements, requirements, and policies. As a potential transfer student, you should consult advisers and admission staff well before the intended semester of transfer.
