UW HELP (the University of Wisconsin System’s Higher Education Location Program) builds access to the 26 campuses in the UW System and UW-Extension in a variety of ways:
Coordinating and Developing UW System Publications
We are responsible for the creation, content, and publishing of Web and print materials that serve as the premiere marketing and recruitment tools for the UW System.
Developing Electronic Access Points to the UW System
We developed UW HELP Online, a comprehensive UW System Web site with more than 800 pages and more than 1,800 links. The site is an online extension of our office and provides a coordinated access point to UW System prospective students’ resources.
Advising People about UW System Options
We serve people seeking direction during their educational transitions. Our clientele includes students of all ages, parents, school counselors, community and government agencies, UW System colleagues, and others.
Maintaining Relationships to Provide Coordinated UW System Student Services
We play an active role throughout the UW System by integrating services delivered to students and campuses, and by providing a unique System wide perspective on committees and work groups.
Performing Various Outreach Activities
We serve as an expert resource to thousands of people annually at workshops; career and college fairs; presentations for schools, agencies, families, and other groups; and local, regional, state, and national conferences.
UW HELP is a unit of UW-Extension that provides a service for the UW System, one of the finest and largest systems of higher education in the country.
